desire warms as it grows up
through the body, climbing
as a vine, flowering as it
goes through the deep deep
darkness that lies at the depth
of soul
tingling skin, inside out, dances
as a willow in the wind
and the divine light
that lingers just at the head of the body
explodes as light merges with energy
and thousands of flowers
bloom in unison
within every cell of the soul

She is lost to me,
Her eyes avert mine
And her body turns away
When I am close;
Her heart is but a barricade
All roads inside blocked off…
Now I must surrender
To this rolling tide,
The most of it my fault-
Love isn’t a word that comes
Easy to me
My heart’s been withdrawn,
Never understanding
how to adequately give…
And I linger now in the shadow
Of pain and regret;
My love an empty vein draining
Through a plastic sieve..
Oh how I wish it were some other way
And she might find it
Within her
to let go and forgive
this truth
where has the heart gone?
hidden way from fear,
banished from her own chest,
she lingers alone…
tears within the fabric of self
keep her empty and scared…
oh love! your sense of entitlement
has gone on too long…
you must find a way back to this soul
so that we may mend the broken fences
that emotions lingers upon…
this folly creates such pain;
as there are no reparations without
honesty
and this truth you must claim
as your own…
Meaningless words
white noise fills the room;
this dull roar of nothingness
that occupies thought and sound…
oh dead wanderers, already gone,
asleep and lingering on the brink
of oblivion-
you suffer so at the hands
of those meaningless words
that feed your soul with
emptiness
when will you let go? nature
is calling
and birds are singing, and rain is
falling
and all that is good is ready
for your welcome hands
and open heart
do not let your spirit die
upon a cross of insignificance
when all you need to fuel
your soul
is already here
Opening
The opening of this heart
Was slow
As pain oozed
From the depths of
Darkness
And secrets crept out
From the dusty
Corners of night…
Yet the strength of this
Heart was heroic
For in it’s acceptance
Came a bounty of light
And light gave wings-
Such wings to fly!
And though this heart
Remains grounded
It dreams of stars
And soars open sky
who?
Though I linger among
The dying
I am not yet dead
For light flows through
This heart of mine
Waking an immortal
Soul
From slumber and depth
Such that I don’t
See who this person was
That endured as me
anymore
on lion’s gate energy
the wind flows through my hair
and stardust lines my eyes
this heart has freed up some space
to find joy again…
the light tendrils of infancy,
this spirit’s bated breath,
linger now like lightening
within my soul
there is nothing that can stop
my mouth from singing
save my own dire dread-
i linger not within that darkness
for the light has found me
and within it’s warm glow
i remain
more on divine fate
she glances my way
and smiles-
fate, this long legged
goddess that guides me,
saluting my path with
signposts of gold and green…
and when I feel lost upon
her winding trails
whispers from her soft voice
flow assuredly
that i’m right where I need to be…
oh friend, oh fate, you don’t leave!
and though I fear sometimes-
the subtleness with which you lead
grants me the peace
to keep moving forward
a higher road
lost to words trapped inside a flowing mind
there’s no where to go with these feelings
but through
and though the length of time to surpass
this pain is mighty
how can the a flower flourish without sun
or rain?
oh, the road is merciless, and the time
dear, and ideas that linger on the edges
of unmoving lips
are as pregnant as silence…
this journey, though walked slow,
is but a trip towards stars
that are yet unknown
so feet move, one by one, towards
a destiny sought by a higher road
secrets
dawn has broken through
and all that lingered within darkness
takes shelter …
hidden in shadows and
the dusty corners of soul
these secrets, yet to be told,
congregate-
oh weary traveler, take care!
for these ever patient,
ever persistent devils,
will not hesitate
and once they take hold,
you will not see light again
